We have added a number of smaller features that improve the possibilities to adapt a diagram and make it look nicely. Here is a closer look at one of the new diagramming features in e!Sankey 2.0: padding at process symbols.

Up to now, the arrows connected exactly at the border line of a process. This looks OK in many cases, and works especially well when you remove arrow head and arrow tail.

With a process icon instead of the default square symbol, however, the connecting arrow sometimes seemed to be "glued" to the icon too closely.

The new padding option in this case can be set to a positive pixel value, increasing the distance of the arrow connect by adding an invisible padding area.

The padding value can also be negative, so that the arrow head and tail connection underruns the default border line of the process.

This can be pushed as far as to a value where the arrow head "touches" the tail of the next arrow.
